Recently we travelled to Reading to carry out our vertical decompaction and Compost tea drench on a mature Indian Bean Tree (Catalpa sp.) The tree has been suffering over the last few years following the dry summers and the compacted soil reducing the tree’s access to nutrients. The decompaction process enables greater water and nutrient availability in the soil as well as decreasing water runoff.
Following our decompaction and the application of compost tea we will be eagerly awaiting news on the tree’s recovery over the coming seasons. With the increase in dry summers over recent years it may be more important than ever to take extra steps to give our trees the best chance to flourish.
